Spring Equinox: A Time for New Beginnings

The 20th of March marks the time associated with experiencing the energy of the Spring or Vernal Equinox and represents the start of Spring. It has long been celebrated across many cultures as a time of renewal, rebirth, and new beginnings.

It is a time for balance and making wishes as we prepare to start the season of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere. The day and nights are equal length during the equinox. It marks the end of one season and the beginning of the next. This time is symbolic of light coming into balance with dark.

During this time, nature rejuvenates itself, representing a time of fertility and rebirth. The trees and flowers begin to sprout, grow and flourish, the birds are singing, and the chipmunks are once again gracing us with their presence as they come out of their winter hibernation. For many people, this is the favorite time of the year, including myself.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, the change of season is an opportunity to reflect and renew ourselves, to release what isn’t serving us and move forward with the intention to achieve good health. It is the perfect time for us to think about our own state of balance and health as we prepare to get ready for the change of season.

The energy of spring is expansive and transformative, offering opportunities for us to grow and flourish, discover new practices for health and well-being, and nurture our connection to our soul’s purpose as we connect with the magic and natural energy vibrations associated with Spring. It helps us feel rejuvenated and ready to embark on new paths to self-discovery as we express our wishes and set our intentions for the future.

It is also the time I wanted to startup a new wellbeing business, Wisdom Unleashed with Charleen Michel, Intuitive Paths to Self-Discovery, riding on the synchronicity of the Spring Equinox. Wisdom Unleashed was conceived during a recent trip to Bali where I found the insights and courage to start my own wellbeing company that gives me the freedom to do things that make me happy and contribute to society.

The seed of Wisdom Unleashed was planted with the intent of sharing my wisdom and guiding others to heal and rediscover themselves. It provides proven complementary healing modalities, including Chakradance, Meditation, Yoga and Reiki, to create powerful channels of human energy so we can release the energy that no longer serves us, discover who we really are and heal our lives.
